screenings and events

Film has the power to spark imagination, connect communities, and open doors. Our events programme brings these moments to life across the region, from screenings and pop-up cinemas to educational workshops and creative projects for all ages.

POP-UP EVENTS

Our pop-up cinema events take film beyond traditional venues and into unexpected spaces across the region, bringing unique viewing experiences to new audiences.

This includes special outdoor screenings such as our recent event at White House Farm, where families and film lovers came together under the stars to enjoy a shared cinematic moment. Whether indoors or outdoors, each pop-up event is designed to be welcoming, accessible, and memorable for all ages.

EDUCATIONAL

Education is at the heart of our mission to inspire and empower the next generation of filmmakers.
We run a range of workshops, talks, and hands-on learning sessions for young people and adults, from practical filmmaking training to discussions that explore the craft and culture of cinema.

Our aim is to nurture confidence, creativity, and curiosity in everyone who takes part.

SCREENINGS

We host curated screenings throughout the year, showcasing a mixture of classic films, contemporary releases, local talent, and themed collections.

These events provide an opportunity to discover new stories, revisit favourites, and enjoy film in a friendly and engaging environment. Many screenings include introductions, Q&As, or supporting activities that deepen the experience.

COURSES

Our courses offer deeper training and development for those interested in film, media, and the creative arts. Led by experienced practitioners, these programmes combine practical learning with industry insight, from screenwriting and cinematography to editing and directing.

Courses are designed for all skill levels, supporting participants as they grow their abilities and explore their passion for film.

FILMMAKING

Filmmaking lies at the core of what we do. We offer opportunities for people of all ages to learn new skills, develop their ideas, and create work they feel proud of. Our filmmaking projects encourage collaboration, storytelling, and experimentation, providing access to equipment, training, and mentorship. Whether it’s a first short film or a community project, we aim to help every participant bring their vision to life.

COMMUNITY

Our community events bring people together through the power of film, from local screenings to creative projects across the region.

We also deliver Moving Memories, our reminiscence project led by Angela Bishop, bringing film-based sessions to dementia care homes and supporting hundreds of participants with meaningful, joyful moments.
