

Philip Easter
Chairman
Philip started his career by training and qualifying in the Accountancy Profession in the 1970’s, Philip has since held a large number of Executive and Non-Executive Director positions around the world including the UK, Europe and North America. Philip’s experience is in a wide range of Financial Companies ranging from Life and Composite Insurers to Mortgage, Leasing, Asset Management and Captive Insurers. He has also had extensive involvement with large Pension Funds as a Trustee over many years. Since his retirement from Aviva in 2008 Philip has managed a portfolio of diverse business interests and investments and is Chairman of a number of Boards in the SME world. After joining the Aegon UK Board towards the end of 2011, Philip was appointed Chairman in January 2012.

Jaan Larner
Trustee
Jaan is a corporate and commercial lawyer, of 20 years’ experience with an MBA from Oxford University and a particular interest in entrepreneurial activity. He advises clients on their corporate structures, as well as their ongoing day to day commercial activity, and has advised on over £2bn of transactions during his career. Jaan is also an author of both ‘The Modern Cad Guide’ and the bestselling ‘Fatboy to Ironman’.

Anwen, Lady Hurt
Trustee
Anwen was married to the actor John Hurt and has lived in Norfolk for the last ten years. She studied music at Birmingham Conservatoire and went on to work in both musical and straight theatre before moving to the other side of the camera and producing television and cinema commercials for 15 years. She has produced and cast a number of feature films and documentaries while living in Norfolk, most notably In Love with Alma Cogan, Benjamin Britten – Peace and Conflict and ChickLit. Anwen is a Trustee of Sheringham Little Theatre, a Patron of the Holt Youth Project, Patron of the Norwich University of the Arts Munnings Restoration Project and has been actively involved in the Holt Festival for a number of years. She is Patron of Project Harar, a UK registered charity to help people affected by facial disfigurement in Ethiopia and joint patron, along with the actor David Morrissey, of the Derby Film Festival.

Mike Hutchinson
Trustee
Mike started his early career in the electronics industry, in technical roles at Philips, Texas Instruments and EMI Electronics. He changed direction to become a social worker for Norfolk County Council. Since his retirement from local government he has been actively engaged in voluntary positions including school governor, business mentor for the Prince’s Trust and radio presenter for Future Radio. He has qualifications in electronics and social work, and a BA in Social Sciences from the Open University. He has worked on developing and documenting heritage walks in Norwich and Great Yarmouth, and has a particular interest in the history and development of the technical aspects of cinema projection.
