We are thrilled to release our four monologues made by students on the Positive Cinema course, which ran from January 2020 to October 2020. Due to the pandemic, we moved the project online in March 2020 and, as a group, decided to make four monologues instead of a short film.

Each monologue was written and directed (remotely) by a course participant with support from tutors – Scriptwriter Bel Greenwood, Sound Designer/Filmmaker Paul Thompson and Filmmaker Jean Hogg. Thank you to our two local actors, Charlotte McGuinness & Mark Finbow.

This project was funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and we would like to thank Norwich 4 Jobs, for all their support on the project.

The project aimed to use the power of cinema to build character strengths and values in targeted groups of disadvantaged young people in Norfolk aged 16-24.
Films not only enable one to be entertained and/or escape, but they also allow the viewer to immerse themselves in the lives of the character and explore the strengths and weakness of those characters, as well as navigating a range of problems and potential solutions.
